November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month
GET INVOLVED!

The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota supports the 60,000 Minnesotans & North Dakotans living with epilepsy. Here are five easy ways to get involved in November:
1. Donate your used clothing! Bring a bag of used clothing to Walgreens in Mankato (all 3 locations), Chaska, New Prague or Shakopee throughout the month of November and help send a child to Camp Oz, one bag at a time. Not nearby these locations? Schedule a curbside pick-up by calling 800.779.0777, ext. 3 or schedule online here.
2. Sign up to advocate with us on Capitol Day on February 23, 2012 to help make our representatives in Minnesota seizure smart. Contact Stephanie Kolari at skolari@efmn.org or 651.287.2312.
3. Visit the SEA LIFE Aquarium at the Mall of America on Friday, November 4 from 4:00 – 8:30 p.m. and $5 of your admission will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota to help us educate, connect and empower people living with seizures. Ticket link is coming soon!
4. We’re hosting the first-ever Minnesota Epilepsy Research Summit. On November 5 from
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Bakken museum, nearly twenty experts will present the latest epilepsy research happening right here in Minnesota! Watch our website for reports from the summit.
5. Meet talented artists with epilepsy at our free Creative Arts Program showcase on November 13, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Patrick’s Cabaret in Minneapolis. Five Eyewitness News Anchor Vineeta Sawkar hosts an afternoon program of written, performance and visual arts from artists living with seizures.
