Legal Matters
A person diagnosed as having epilepsy may suddenly find that he or she is treated differently and sometimes unfairly. An employer may refuse to hire him even though he is qualified for the job. A graduate program may deny her acceptance. The state may place special restrictions on his ability to get a driver's license and may require his doctor to report his condition.
When facing these problems, it certainly helps to know your legal rights. The following links are to the national Epilepsy Foundation website - an excellent resource for legal matters.
