Legal Issues The Jeanne A. Carpenter Epilepsy Legal Defense Fund has been created to help people with epilepsy fight discrimination.
Grassroots Advocacy We recognize that living with seizures has its challenges and we're here to help you advocate on your own behalf. Likewise, we are building a grassroots network that can help us advocate on behalf of all Minnesotans with epilepsy.

Each year, EFMN organizes an Epilepsy Awareness Day at the Capitol to empower people affected by seizures by bringing essential information and stories about epilepsy to our Minnesota state senators and representatives. The Foundation works cooperatively with the Coalition for Children with Disabilities and the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities to align priorities and policies with disability rights groups in Minnesota and North Dakota.
The Foundation supports federal public policy and is a member of the Epilepsy Foundation's "Speak Up Speak Out" Campaign.
If you would like to get involved by joining our Advocacy group, click here. Join our Grassroots Advocacy Network by completing this online form. You will be updated on issues that are important to Minnesota. Also check out the Speak Up! Minnesota page on the national Epilepsy Foundation's website, a place to connect and "chat" with others from Minnesota.
